Summer Nights Volunteer Work Party August

What better way to spend a summer evening than working the trails of Forest Park? Join us after work, school, or whatever it is you do all day, for this month's Summer Nights Volunteer Work Party! This limited time volunteer event is part of a three month Summer Nights series, every last Tuesday from June - August.
We will be using weed whips and rakes to clear the trail corridor of encroaching vegetation.
August 29th, 5 pm to 7 pm
NW 53rd and Dogwood/Cherry Trails (Follow link to view map.) Carpooling is encouraged. Limited parking is available at the trailhead and surrounding neighborhood.
Be prepared to hike up to 3 miles and get dirty. Long pants and sturdy shoes are required for your safety.
There are lots of mosquitoes this year, along wtih long pants, please bring repellent and long sleeves, if you need it. Remember to pack plenty of water and dress for all weather conditions. Forest Park Conservancy will provide gloves, tools, and training.

Following the work party, volunteers are invited to join the FPC field staff for beers in town!
