Tales From The Trails:

Crew Leader Training: Restoration Edition

Do you want to strengthen your leadership skills while helping restore Forest Park? Do you like working with people, helping them improve their skills? Do you like working outside?

If you answered yes to these questions, then you might be interested in joining FPC’s Volunteer Crew Leader program.

On Saturday, January 28th, we will be hosting our Volunteer Crew Leader Training: Restoration Edition! This training will prepare you to help lead habitat restoration projects at our volunteer work parties in Forest Park.

No experience is necessary to sign up -- we’ll teach you everything you’ll need to know! You’ll learn about Forest Park’s ecology, how to identify invasive plants, how to remove them properly, and how to lead and manage volunteers.

All volunteer crew leaders will go home with a crew leader manual and a snazzy crew leader hat. Your friends will be so jealous!

All materials, morning coffee, snacks, and lunch will be provided.

When: Saturday, January 28, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

Where: Linnton Community Center
