Tales From The Trails:

Spring Trails and Education Internship

The Forest Park Conservancy’s trails and education programs need your help. Join FPC’s Trails Manager and Kids’ Discovery Coordinator for two to three days each week maintaining Forest Park’s trails and sharing your love of the forest with visiting 3rd-5th graders.

The internship is unpaid and runs for 12 weeks, from March 20 to June 7. Interns will meet on Thursdays and Fridays from 8 am to 4:30 pm, and on select Tuesdays. Thursdays and Fridays will be devoted to trail work throughout Forest Park; certain Tuesdays in April and May will be spent leading field trips.

We provide training, tools, gloves and transportation to the work site; interns get themselves to our field headquarters at Lower Macleay Park, and bring their own food, water, energy and good cheer.

To apply, please send a short letter of interest that includes any related experience, why you'd like to intern and what you hope to learn through the experience to Lucy Cohen at lucy@forestparkconservancy.org.

If you would like to participate but have trouble with specific dates or making the Tuesday sessions, please do still apply and we can see what we can work out.
