Tales From The Trails:

Volunteer Appreciation Celebration and Hike

If you're a volunteer, come on out to the forest and let us thank you for your tremendous work! Share good food and drink among Forest Park Conservancy friends and take a look back at some of the most impressive trail improvement and habitat restoration projects you've helped accomplish this past year.

Leading up to the party, volunteers are invited to hike all or part of Forest Park's 30-mile Wildwood Trail with the FPC field staff! Along the way, we'll point out past, current, and future volunteer projects and marvel at the beauty of Forest Park.

Feel free to attend the party, the hike, or both!

What: FPC Volunteer Appreciation Party

When: Friday, August 28, 7 pm to 9 pm

Where: Hoyt Arboretum Pavilion, across the street from the Hoyt Arboretum, 4000 SW Fairview Blvd, Portland, OR 97221

Special thanks goes to Hot Lips Pizza for donating pizza to our party!

Wildwood Volunteer Appreciation Hike

If you rather not hike all 30 miles of Wildwood Trail in one day, we have a couple of alternative options - Team North and Team South - for you to hop in on the fun and join us for part of the way. Team North is for those who want to kick off the hike with us at sunrise and trek the 8 northernmost miles of Wildwood (or all 30 miles). Team South is a versatile (5-10 mile), late afternoon option with easy access to public transportation.

Follow the links for more hike details and let us know you're coming!

Team North (8-30 milers)

Team South (5-10 milers)

(Teams help facilitate shuttling between trailheads and provide designated times/locations to meet up with the thru-hikers en route.)

The Forest Park Conservancy is looking forward to celebrating an amazing year's worth of volunteerism with all of you who made it possible!

If you have any questions about the Volunteer Appreciation Party or Wildwood Hike, feel free to email Mikala Soroka at mikala@forestparkconservancy.org.
